About

As one of Northern California's wine pioneers, the Guglielmo family has a rich history in winemaking that spans generations. The family patriarch, Emilio Guglielmo, left his homeland of Italy’s Piemonte region in 1909 and immigrated to America, settling in San Francisco with his wife, Emilia. In 1925, they purchased the property that is now Emilio Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill, where they began producing hearty Italian-style wines for the large Italian, French, and Basque communities in San Francisco. Today, the winery is run by third and fourth-generation family members, who continue the family's commitment to quality, distinction, and value.

The winery boasts around 50 acres of estate vineyards in Santa Clara Valley, as well as sourcing grapes from premium wine-growing regions throughout California. Visitors to the winery can enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the Guglielmo family while tasting award-winning varietal wines under various labels, including the Guglielmo Private Reserve, Tre, and Emile's label, which includes our Sparkling and Dessert wines. In addition to the Tasting Room, guests can also explore the unique Gift Shop and attend public or private events at the Villa Emile Event Center, ranging from weddings to concerts.
